The 3 Ingredient Scrub That Changed My Life

Who doesn't want younger looking skin that is dewy, supple & radiant? I was one of the lucky ones that never really needed to do anything special to my skin. I never had to worry about ways to keep my skin looking younger or the hassle of going through skin care products to find the perfect cure.

That all changed when I had my son (who is totally worth my past skin woes lol). My hormones went berserk and it's like I was given a new type of skin. It wasn't that younger skin that I was use to.  It was dry and dull which showed fine lines around my eyes and blemishes. It made me look much older and tired. I'd had enough and I begin looking into natural treatments that would give me results. Fast!

I saw a spa commercial on TV one day that seemed to speak directly towards me. You know how it goes.

"Do you want younger looking skin? Are you tired of being mistaken for being older than you really are?  We can make your skin look younger in just 5 minutes or your money back!"

(those commercials are so freaking convincing when you are desperate!)

Well I bought into the hype and decided to pay that lil spa a visit.  It was very upscale and I had what was recommended, a scrub called The Egyptian Revitalizing Coffee Scrub. It was fairly quick and therefore I was kinda skeptical until I got a chance to get to a mirror and feel my face.  The results were amazing! It definitely gave me younger looking skin. My face was soft, silky and simply beaming. I received so many compliments on my skin. A few people even asked if I was pregnant again because I was glowing.

A week later I noticed my skin starting to look dull again. I couldn't afford to visit the spa again. I immediately got online to see if I could find the ingredients that was in this coffee scrub. As I was browsing a forum I came across a coffee scrub recipe that looked promising and had a ton of good reviews from women raving about it. I decided it was worth a shot.

Well the stars in heaven must have been aligned perfectly because....

I went to the store to get the ingredients and ran into an old friend. We were chatting about old times when she commented about how gorgeous my skin was. I told her about the facial scrub I had received at a spa and that I was there to pick up some ingredients to try to recreate it at home. Well low and behold she use to work in a day spa and confirmed that these were indeed the exact ingredients that was used in the Egyptian Revitalizing Coffee Scrub. She gave me the exact measurements and I hurried home to try it out.

It was a success! The recipe was dead on and I have been using this scrub once a week for a whole year now!! I am passing it along to anyone out there who is tired of having dull, dry, tired looking skin and want a easy, quick and cheap natural method to achieving youthful skin. I can not tell you how much better I feel to have such  beautiful younger looking skin. I've already got almost all of the women in my family hooked to this coffee scrub. I hope that you will enjoy this scrub as much as I do.

Egyptian Revitalizing Coffee Scrub Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3 Tablespoons of Organic, moist, used coffee grounds
  2. 1 Tablespoon of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  3. 1/3 teaspoon of pure Organic Grade A honey (I sometimes use more if my face is extra dry)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Wash your face with cool water to remove any dirt or makeup.
  3. Apply the scrub to your face and massage gently in a circular motion.
  4. Let scrub sit on your face for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Rinse scrub off with cool water.
  6. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.

NOTES:

* This scrub can be messy so be sure to apply it over the sink.

*You will feel a thin layer of oil on your face after you dry it. It will absorb into your skin quickly.

* This scrub makes your foundation look flawless! If you even need any at all.

*This scrub is great for all skin types.

* Can be used all over the body to achieve soft, silky, glowing skin. (I love using this all over my body in the summer time. I love the sexy, soft glow that it gives my arms, legs and back)

The Science Behind This Scrub & Why It Works So Well

There are tons of information on the web about the benefits of these three ingredients (coffee, honey & olive oil) on the skin. Any good skin care expert will tell you that in order to have great skin you need to Exfoliate, Tone & Moisturize. This coffee scrub does it all in one step. Cheaply & Naturally!

Coffee grounds contains natural ingredients that plumps the skin making it appear less wrinkled, rejuvenated and supple. This is why it also works well for the appearance of cellulite. It doesn't really get rid of it, just plumps the skin to make it appear less noticeable. It's also a great exfoliator and helps remove dead skin cells from the skins surface, revealing a more fresher looking complexion.

Olive Oil is one of the worlds best natural moisturizing oils. It absorbs fast, brings balance to the skin, lasts long and so much more. It was use heavily by the Egyptians as a beauty fluid.

Honey is a natural humectant that traps moisture and holds it there. It also creates a natural glisten on the skin and tones the complexion. Making it appear radiant.

Hi,

This is really great recipe.

I make this scrub time to time, but instead of olive oil I use plain yogurt. It's better for my oily acne skin, it makes my skin shine-free

Best wishes,

Vicky

nice tip. . I must try this but how about using instant coffee mix? Would it still be effective?

Kristina 4 weeks ago

@sheila: no, I'm sure instant won't work, it will just dissolve and you won't get the exfoliation of the grounds, and it might even be different chemically.

Great scrub, thanks.. TOP tip, some years ago after spending lots of money on high end products all the time i started adding olive oil to my face and body creams. AMAZING results. 1- it makes puting body cream on so much faster and 2- it makes your creams go so much further. My skin is like glass, never dry or dull even in the winter.. Try it, you will love it !!

I have been looking for a scrub for my skin for the past 6 months. I am 42 yrs old and look much younger anyhow. However, my skin is finally catching up with my age. LOL. My foundation looks caky all the time now and my skin looks tired. All the moisturizers I have tried have done nothing for this. I am going to try this scrub this weekend and see how it works. Hope it works on fine lines.

When I was a teenager, I had amphitago or something like it. It left all sorts of scabs on my face. Someone gave me this pure honey solution and I used it. A week later, the scabs and sores were almost completely gone. I think there is something to honey making your face better.
